Graduated with honors in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Bologna. After graduating in 1995 he embarked on a career in Coldiretti, holding various roles to reach management, first at provincial level and then regionally in Veneto and Emilia Romagna. Since 2014 he has held the position of Head of Economic Area at the Coldiretti national headquarters. He has been a director of various public and private companies. He was recently a member of the Bologna Chamber of Commerce, a director of Banca Nuova Terra spa and a member of the Italian Advisory board of Unicredit and a member of the Intesa Sanpaolo Agribusiness Committee. He is currently CEO of Consorzi Agrari d'Italia S.p.A. and Director of Società Consortile Consorzi Agrari - Consortium company limited by shares, of S.I.S. -Società Italiana Sementi spa. Member of the Executive Committee of Eurocap Petroli spa, a company active in oil distribution. Since 2016 he has been President of Ager, a consultancy and research company. Since 2022 he has been President of Zoo Assets.
